We're getting our exercise AND raising money for mental health research and initiatives!

We NEED YOUR HELP!

Ben and Nicky are taking on The Great York Walk 2021!

We've challenged ourselves to walk at least 150 miles each (300 miles in total) to not only give us an chance to catch up on all the exercise we've missed out on thanks to the pandemic, but also raise funds for Mentally Fit York at the University of York.

1-in-4 people experience mental-ill health issues at any time in their lives and it doesn't discriminate. Mental health has never been more important than right now, so along with hundreds of others all over the world, we'll be counting our daily steps for the next 3 months (10th May-31st July) to contribute to the 25,000 mile walking goal. That's the equivalent of a walk around the Earth!

You can help us! By donating to this page, you can help us raise as much as we can to hit our target and support the University's efforts to improve mental health for everyone!

If you're not in a position to donate, that's ok! You can help us by sharing this page and spreading the word! You can share our project by using the #GreatYorkWalk hashtag OR by tagging @UoYAlumni in any posts you make!

If you'd like to join the walk and start your own campaign, you can sign up here! You don't need to be a member of or associated with the University of York to take part!
