OUR PROJECT
We are looking to raise £2,500 to make our film a reality, and to do this, we need your help. Any donation you make will help bring our vision to life.
Our 15-minute short film follows Annie Freeman as she realises the film industry has lost interest in her since turning 40. It follows key moments in her career, shown through adverts and trailers, as she tries to find a way back in.
Our film is ambitious, traversing many genres and exploring how ageism and sexism impact older women in the film industry.
As Seen On TV tackles a subject that has been often ignored with older women overlooked for roles simply due to age. We want to tackle this issue head on through comedy.

We are a small crew of university students excited to make a film that covers an important topic with flare and style.
Where will the money go?
Locations: £500
As Seen on TV covers multiple settings, including commercial studios, film sets, and Annie's home. To capture the range of genres and atmospheres that mark Annie's career, securing diverse and fitting locations is essential. Your support will help us access the right spaces to bring each scene to life authentically.
Production Design: £750
Our film is rooted in genre shifts and varied roles, which means we need to transform Annie's world with props, costumes, and unique set pieces for each of her on-screen personas. This budget will help us craft the commercial products, outfits, and backdrops that give each of Annie's roles its own distinct identity.
Contingency: £350
Filmmaking often brings the unexpected, and we want to be prepared. Our contingency fund is here to cover any surprises that arise, allowing us to stay on track even if a last-minute change is needed.
Catering: £500
We believe a well-fed team is a happy team! With long days on set, we'll need to keep everyone energised and ready for each scene. This budget will provide meals and snacks for our cast and crew throughout our six-day shoot.
Travel and Accommodation: £400
Getting our team and equipment from one location to the next is crucial. This fund ensures our cast and crew can make it to each shoot, with support for accommodation if we need to shoot further away.
