Dogfight: A short summary of our project
Dogfight is Central Hall Musical Society’s Spring Show this year, providing 26 students with the opportunity to tell this beautiful story of love and loss. We have been privileged with the opportunity to represent the University of York in our city, helping to enrich it’s culture.
We are aiming to raise £400 to cover the sound equipment hire, costume hire and contribute to other technical and production costs.
Who are We?
We are a student-led society with a passion for musical theatre. We love to entertain through bringing different musicals to the city of York for the enjoyment of residents and students alike. The Dogfight team are thrilled to have the opportunity to bring this story to life on the John Cooper @41 Monkgate Stage.
our story
Back in November 2019, Lois (Producer), Anna (Director) and Jack (Musical Director) came together with a shared passion for the heartache and emotion evoked by Pasek and Paul in Dogfight. After successfully gaining the pitch later that month, we have been privileged to provide 11 cast members and 15 production team members, all of whom are students at the University of York, the chance to transport this story on to the stage. However, we need your help to do so...
Where will the money go?
There are many hidden costs that go into the making of a show off-campus:
- Rights £500
- Venue £850
- P&P £60
- Props £150
- Costume £200
- Lighting and Sound £50
- Total £1,810
As you can see, we cannot do this by ourselves. We have already raised a small amount of this through fundraising events such as an Army Bar Crawl, a student led Pasek and Paul Workshop and donut sales; however we still need a large amount of money to make this dream a reality. Please donate anything you can, big or small, to help us make this dream a reality!
