We are filmmaking students and we have shot an amazing psychological drama for our dissertation. Filming for our ambitious project has turned out really well, and now we want to take it to another level, and to do this we are asking for your support.
Currently we are pursuing MA in Film and Television Production from University of York. Our group consists of Arnav Agarwal (Director), Aayush Singhal (Editor) and Ajeet Anand (Cinematographer and colourist). All three of us wanted to do something extraordinary and the very thought united us.
Where will the money go?
The money we will get from this crowdfunding project will go primarily into two things: VFX and Sound. To make our movie world look like 1945, we need to do some screen replacements, add background and have a convincing sound design.
VFX as we all know is a costly affair, we have reached out to a few companies we knew from personal contact and they have been very kind to do it at the best economical price.
In total, we need the first 2 minutes of the film to have an atmosphere of war.
What is our film about?
In this period drama with psychological horror undertones, Price, a WWII soldier plagued by severe PTSD from the war, seeks help through the unconventional methods of his father, a priest and an exorcist.
As they grapple with their own inner demons, their paths intersect in a powerful and poignant way. It’s a story of faith, redemption, and the unbreakable bond between a father and his son. It's a psychological horror which tests the bond between a father and son, a soldier and a priest.
Why it matters?
This project isn't just about making a film; it's about sparking conversations, raising awareness, and fostering empathy. By supporting "God and Country", donors will play a vital role in shining a light on the impact of trauma on veterans.
You will also play a vital role in the success of our final film, which will go on to impact our careers after graduation.
