Raising money for Mentally Fit York at the University of York

What's all this then?

I'm taking part in The Great York Walk, a 25 mile tour around the wonderful city of York, in order to raise money for Mentally Fit York, helping mental health and wellbeing.

Who am I?

I'm many things, but primarily, I'm someone that has battled with severe depression.

I'm lucky enough to have come out the other side, but so many people haven't. The pressures on everyone right now are absolutely immense, and this is only magnified when you consider young people and students. I want to do something to help.

What am I doing?

I'm walking. 25 miles. Around York. With other people! This is part of #TheGreatYorkWalk, details of which can be found here.

I love walking (as a dog owner, I have to!), love being out in the countryside, and adore York, so this is the perfect opportunity for me to help raise money for a great cause.

Where will the money go?

All this is part of York Unlimited's Mentally Fit York campaign, all proceeds will go there.
