A short summary of my project
I'm raising £200 to support “Mentally Fit York” fund, aiming to improve Mental Health Care.
Who am I?
I am a 3rd year Biochemistry student at University of York.
I have noticed an increasing number of young people suffering mental health problems, some of them is my close friends. And to be honest, I myself struggled maintaining a healthy mind that I took one year off from my study and sought for help.
Now I just want to do something to help and hope that people can be more open and easily receive the help that I once received.
Where will the money go?
This event is being organised to raise funds to support Mentally Fit York.
The Mentally Fit York fund aims to:
Equip our students with the tools, skills and confidence they need to spot the signs of mental health issues. As part of this, we will provide Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) courses to help our students guide people towards the support they need.
Deliver Mental Health Nursing Scholarships for nursing students from a low-income background to allow them to focus on their studies and placements, without having the worry of financial pressure.
Help Me succeed!
- You don't need to give money to help me succeed! Please share this project with anyone you think would support us – on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, by email, telephone, in a chat over the fence or on your blog.
