Central Hall Musical Society Presents 'Grease'

A short summary of our project

We are trying to raise between £1000 and £1500 for our upcoming of Grease the Musical - coming to The Joseph Rowntree Theatre in York this February! By raising this money, we will be able to make all aspects of the show as amazing as possible. Our production team has been working hard on their creative visions - from every Pink Ladies jacket to Greased Lightning itself - and we would love to see these come to life! Your donation is so greatly appreciated and will go towards making this show as electrifying as it can be.

Who are we?

Hello there! We are the Central Hall Musical Society at the University of York. We put on 3 full musicals a year as well as 2 society-wide showcases. We'd love to introduce the executive production team for our biggest show of the year:

Ben Middleton as Producer

Estrella Coldron as Director

Sharath Chivukula as Musical Director

Izzy Palmer as Choreographer

We are a society made up of students who are passionate about musical theatre and we cannot wait to share this project with you!

Where will the money go?

  • The majority of the money raised through YuStart will go towards purchasing the set for the show. Our wonderful set designer has been working hard on their create vision and we would love to see this full brought to life!
  • The more money raised means we can allocate more money to our costume, hair and makeup, and stage management teams for sourcing props and costume. We hope to raise enough to make the production a wonderful viewing experience for the audience.
  • Additional money will go towards our marketing of the show to make sure we spread the word to as many people as we can, as well as going towards covering the cost of transportation of the set to the theatre.
