Central hall Musical Society Presents The Guy Who Didn't like Musicals
Our project
We are aiming to raise around £1500 to put on our performance of The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals at Central Hall between the 28th of November and the 1st of December 2024.
The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals is a book written by Matt and Nick Lang that was turned into a musical by Jeff Blim. It is the first in a series of horror-comedy musicals based in the urban American city of . This musical is the 11th production that had been put on by the American theatre company Starkid Productions and arguably one of their most notable productions as well.
The musical follows your everyday, normal, average man called Paul, who, you guessed it, 'doesn't like musicals.' But one day, Paul wakes up, and the town of : is filled with singing and dancing like they are in a musical due to an alien hivemind taking over, and there is only one man who can stop it before there are no survivors left. Will Paul succeed? Well, there is only one way for you to find out...

Where will the money go?
All the money donated will go directly into funding these show-stopping numbers! The donations will be used for costumes, set design, special effects, and so much more!
The more donations we can get, the bigger and better the production can be!
Here at CHMS, many of our creative team invest in the show themselves, the cost of which is later reimbursed from the overall budget of the show, which our fundraising is a part of! Because some of this behind the scenes work continues after we have officially finished our run, we're giving you a few extra days to donate during show time, and we are extremely grateful if you decide to donate at any time!
Rewards
Donating £10 or more gives you unique behind-the-scenes pictures and videos specific to those who choose to donate. For donations of £35 or more, you will receive a cast-signed program!
