Our Project:
We are raising £2500 to fund a road trip film about the beginnings of a cross generational friendship between Louise, a 70 year old woman with unfinished business with her ex girlfriend, and Becca, a 16 year old volunteer for an old age charity. Despite a bumpy start, the two women soon realise they have more in common than they first thought.
We really wanted to be able to create a positive, lighthearted and fun representation of LGBT women, in which they aren’t victims of horrors or killed off as soon as life gets good. That being said, at its heart, this is a story about found family and human connection that we think audiences everywhere will be able to connect with, no matter who you are or who you love.
The film is a comedy drama set in the Yorkshire Dales, filming in February 2020. We wanted to highlight how beautiful Yorkshire is, as well as creating unique and exciting characters. We hope that there is something that everyone can relate to in this story and so you’ll be kind enough to contribute to our budget.
We’re ready to face whatever an outdoor shoot in February throws at us.
