Hello
I'm taking part in York's Marathon Month 2023 to help raise funds for Mentally Fit York at the University of York.
In the UK, up to one in four adults and one in ten children experience mental health issues. Mental health issues do not discriminate and everyone should have access to the free, personal and inclusive help they need regardless of their position.
I aim to walk at the very least one Marathon in the countryside around York during October. This will be evidenced by a GPS tracker, pedometer and lots of pictures!
Please donate anything you can to help me reach my target and improve mental health in York and beyond! More about York's Marathon Month and the cause can be found here.
about mentally fit york
Mentally Fit York, works to ensure good mental health on a local, national and international scale through initiatives and research at the university.
Your support will be used to fund initiatives such as 24/7 mental health support for York students and research projects to further our understanding of mental health issues and the barriers to accessing support services.
Your support may also go towards providing suicide prevention training, Mental Health Nursing Scholarships or it could contribute to a range of other initiatives which are decided by an expert panel of mental health and wellbeing researchers, practitioners and advocates. Find out more about what Mentally Fit York has supported here.
Thankyou for your donation,
Thomas
