Help us make amazing music in Berlin!

Making music for over 20 years...

For over twenty years UYCO has been the University's orchestra run for students, by students. This gives us the opportunity to continue playing an instrument in a relaxed, social environment. We study a diverse range of degrees, but all share the same love of music and enjoyment of playing concerts to family and friends. Following on from the success of last year's tour to Leuven, this year we need your help to bring our music to Berlin!

Help us on our journey!

Thanks to the generosity of people through YuStart last year, we were able to go on our first ever tour to Belgium. We're back this year to ask for your help to make music in Berlin! In order to make the tour viable, we need to raise £2500 to subsidise the overall cost for our members... Our tour will involve concerts at local venues where we will be playing a wide range of music, from Dvořàk to Titanic. Berlin is one of the greatest cities of culture in the world, and we hope to experience and contribute to it. Our tour will hopefully help develop links between the UK and Europe, and give our members new experiences. The tour will develop personal friendships and should be a fantastic opportunity for all our members to further their musical careers and have some fun along the way.

We would be very grateful for any donations made, however great or small. A trip like this is out of reach for many of our members, so by donating to our cause you'll be helping to subsidise members so the whole orchestra can travel together.

All the money pledged will go towards covering the costs of our travel, accommodation and food. Take a look at the rewards we're offering (hopefully they'll convince you to donate)!

This year we'll be raising money for Claire House Children's Hospice whilst on tour.

Spread the Word...

If you don’t feel like you can make a financial contribution, please share our project with friends and family! You can follow us on Twitter, like our Facebook page, send an email out or tell your neighbours!
