Our Christmas Cards are helping support mentally fit York

The University of York Christmas Card Competition

Students, staff and alumni of the university were offered the chance to enter a competition to design the official University of York Christmas card for 2021. There were loads of amazing entries, with the winning design by student Veniamin Shiron, with the runner up designs by Charlotte Rule, Ruby O'Connell and Zuzanna Rog!

The designs feature a range of Christmas themed images of York, with a Christmas tree made of ducks, Central Hall in the snow, and even geese ice skating by Heslington Hall!

The winning card designs are available to purchase from Nisa Market Square, Nisa Kimberlow, University Clothing and Gift Shop and the online Merchandise store.

All profits from the sale of these Christmas cards are being donated to Mentally Fit York, and any further donations would be massively appreciated, and go towards an amazing cause.

about mentally fit york

All the money raised will be in aid of Mentally Fit York, which will promote good mental health on a local, national and international scale. Your support will be used to fund initiatives such as 24/7 mental health support for York students and research projects to further our understanding of mental health issues and the barriers to accessing support services.

Your support may also go towards providing suicide prevention training, Mental Health Nursing Scholarships or it could contribute to a range of other initiatives which are decided by an expert panel of mental health and wellbeing researchers, practitioners and advocates.
