Ian will be leaving the University in September to take up a role as Director for International Affairs at the Royal Society. His last working day will be 15 September.

Ian has worked tirelessly throughout his time at the University; supporting the Vice-Chancellor, being instrumental in the setting up of the York Maastricht Partnership as its Director, at the forefront of the University's response to the Covid pandemic, building strong relations with CYC Public Health and setting up, at pace, the LFD Test Centre, and now leaving as our Director of Operations. He will be greatly missed and we wish him every success for the future.

About Mentally Fit York

This collection is in aid of Mentally Fit York, which will promote good mental health on a local, national and international scale. Your support will be used to fund initiatives such as 24/7 mental health support for York students and research projects to further our understanding of mental health issues and the barriers to accessing support services.

Your support may also go towards providing suicide prevention training, Mental Health Nursing Scholarships or it could contribute to a range of other initiatives which are decided by an expert panel of mental health and wellbeing researchers, practitioners and advocates.
