Julie will be leaving the University in mid-September after 5½ years as a research associate in the Hitchcock Lab within the Department of Biology.

Her research journey at York has been enriched by the opportunity to work alongside undergraduate and postgraduate research students and to act as a postgraduate mentor. She hopes to find time to stay connected with the University whilst starting a new journey as a National Trust volunteer at Beningbrough Hall, Gallery and Gardens.

About GenerationResearch

This collection is in aid of GenerationResearch, which offers students the opportunity to explore research and technical science roles as a career and allow them to gain the knowledge needed to put that career plan into action.

GenerationResearch provides authentic paid studentship positions across disciplines in a range of technical and research projects. GenRes has widening access to science at it's core, and gives a helping hand to students from all backgrounds in accessing studentship experiences.
