By eck, I did it!

Thank you to everyone who supported me yesterday. It was a cold start but otherwise glorious day: blue skies and no discernible wind. It meant I could run the race I trained for, and completed my marathon in 03:27:22. The last six miles were hard work but manageable. As my legs and lungs burned, especially during a sprint finish, it helped greatly to think about the the people your sponsorship will help. If the students and academics displaced by conflict can survive and thrive through all that, I could damn well complete a marathon - a breeze by comparison. So a huge thank you once again!
