Hi everyone! We need your help!
Every year, students from all over the UK get together to duke it out and show everyone what they're made of at the Aikido Student National Competition.
Last year, York Aikido Club had an incredible time in Cambridge, and we even came home with a bronze award! This year we've got our sights set on even bigger and better achievements. With your support, we'd love to raise enough funds to send 9 students from York to the upcoming competition in Sheffield.
Why support york aikido club?
York Aikido Club prides itself on being one of the most affordable martial arts clubs at UoY; we love being able to give everyone interested in Aikido a chance to really give it a go! However, this does mean that we don't always raise as much as we'd like to fund places for events and meetups with other Aikido clubs.
Here's where you can help - it will cost at least £400 to cover train tickets, accommodation, entry fees and licenses for up to 9 UoY students to take part in this year's Aikido Student Nationals, taking place on Sheffield, 22nd March. In the interests of not spending all of the club's remaining funds on this one event, we're trying to cover as much of these costs through this fundraiser. This way, we can ensure sustainable reserves for future equipment needs. Any funds raised in excess of our target will be saved for next year's Student Nationals, so no donation is too little or too much.
If you're not able to give right away, please do share this as widely as possible! As much or as little as you can give will be a massive help and we'd be super grateful for all of your support. With your backing, we're confident we can bring home more awards than last year!
