The 3 most hopeless artists in Yorkshire compete for the prize of their dreams.

Three art students prepare for their final exhibition. As they compete against each other (and their fellow classmates) it becomes clear that there are no boundaries in the race for artistic glory.

For the Love of Art is going to be a mockumentary about three of the most hopeless and oblivious artists in Yorkshire. It's going to be funny, entertaining and an all-round great mockumentary that will also have something to say about us, humans. But to be able to make it, we need your help!

Who we are

We are a group of Film and Television Production third years at the University of York who are looking to raise the money for our final year group film project! We've all worked on many different films, TV shows and music videos, have different talents and strengths and we are all very excited about this film. We are all huge comedy fans and believe that we can create a mockumentary that we can all be proud of.

Where will the money go?

Our department at the University of York will provide us with fantastic filming equipment, but to be able to make this film we still need to raise some money to cover the costs of production. Here is an estimated budget so you can see where the money would go:

  • Actor costs (accommodation, travel): £300
  • Transportation of cast, crew and equipment during shooting: £100
  • Catering: £200
  • Production Design: £250
  • Publicity, distribution and rewards: £50
  • Other (this includes administrative costs, hair and make-up, printing and other smaller costs) : £100

If we reach our target, which is more than the minimum amount that would allow us to make this film, the extra money would go towards bolder production design and better locations than what our minimum budget would allow us to have, therefore we could create an even more immersive and entertaining film.
