Much love for all archiving projects from Lanzarote

Thank you for preserving this seminal comedy material which has had a great influence on the life of this 80-year-old.

Thank you for this initiative.

Tony Hancock was a very rare person, both as an actor, and as a wonderful person. Some of his routines were beyond the reach of many in his/the only, true profession/trade. And his brilliant comic acting were/are golden, reaching all people, never bettered. Glorious. Thank you! His talent is akin to no one. It’s amazing how much of his material is used by comedians today, albeit dressed up, with no recognition/acknowledgment as to whom put comedy into the psyche of our citizens. Incredible. I wish I’d seen him. Andy, LL.B (Hons)

Everybody's favourite comedy.

As a long-time admirer of Galton and Simpson I am pleased that their extensive work will be archived at the University of York and hope that there will be access for researchers.

I don't mind giving a reasonable amount but a pint? That's very nearly an armful!
