In aid of the York Opportunity Scholarship

James Coates will leave the University on 26th November; his last working day with us will be 6th November.

James has offered support and guidance to many staff members during his time with us which has given him the nickname of the Oracle! I am sure you will join us in thanking James for his many contributions over the years. James will be greatly missed and we hope future adventures are plain sailing for our Captain.

James has advised that he would welcome donations to York Unlimited in lieu of a gift.

If you have any questions, please contact Camille Bainbridge (camille.bainbridge@york.ac.uk)

Thank you.

About the york opportunity scholarship

The York Opportunity Scholarship helps less advantaged students access a York education with an award of £3,300 over three years. This money helps students in a variety of different ways - for some, it might be spent on childcare costs, for others it might be spent on essential study equipment - but all donations to the funds make a huge difference to the lives of York students. During the coronavirus pandemic, applications for the York Opportunity Scholarship have risen by over 50%. Find out more about the Scholarship here.
