Masud will be leaving the University shortly to take up a new role as University Librarian and Keeper of the Brotherton Collection at the University of Leeds. Masud’s last working day with us will be 5th March.

Masud’s experience, insight and contribution to the Library and Archives team, and to wider University research, education and engagement strategies, has been transformative. He will be greatly missed and I’m sure you will join us in thanking him for his contribution to the University.

Masud would welcome contributions to the Emergency Student Support Fund in lieu of a gift.

about the emergency student support fund

The Emergency Student Support Fund provides urgent support to students whose lives have been financially disrupted by the coronavirus pandemic. The pandemic has forced society to confront some of the most its urgent issues, including technical poverty and the digital divide. The Emergency Student Support Fund continues to help to solve this problem at York by providing grants to students which (among other needs) enable the purchase of new IT equipment, the repair of outdated or broken IT equipment and the cost of internet utility bills.
