Our Project
The Red Brick House tells the story of the Wells family, a dysfunctional group of three who own and live in a coastal Inn. Thanks to a temporal anomaly, the son Milo is able to wander through time. Watching as his family slowly tears itself apart, he resolves to try and put it back together again.
This bittersweet, nostalgic film explores the importance of family and appreciating the time you have, and traces how our relationships can change over the decades.
We are aiming to raise £2,500 to make The Red Brick House a reality and we need your help! This project will really begin with your support so we are really grateful for anything you can give and continue reading to find out more about how it will help us. There are also a variety of rewards on the right-hand side which can be claimed as a thank you from us for your support!
Meet the Team
We are a passionate team of film students, very excited to collaborate on this project. The themes of family, legacy and reconnection are all close to our hearts and we are looking forward to sharing this story with everybody and developing our skills but we need your help!
Where will your money go?
In order to bring Milo’s world to life, we need £2,500 of donations. Any donation is appreciated and if you are unable to donate please share our page across socials! We will be sharing updates of our progress regularly!
Here is a budget breakdown of where your money will be going:
LOCATIONS (£700)
The Red Brick House is really at the centre of our film (hence the name!) so we need to find a perfect inn to reflect the depth of Milo’s family history. Nearly all of the film will take place at this location so a large amount of donations will go to finding the perfect visually appealing location.
Production Design (£650)
With the film spanning over multiple time periods, set and costume design will be an integral part of the production. Your money will help us to get sets and costumes that will transport Milo from the present day back through his family history.
Travel & Accommodation (£350)
We will need to cover accommodation and travel for our amazing cast and the crew, this helps our production to run as smoothly as possible, and will also ensure all of the equipment is transported safely.
Catering (£350)
Making a film is hard work, we want to make sure we can provide hot meals for our cast and crew on set and make sure everyone is well provided for.
Specialist Equipment (£200)
We want to make our film as visually pleasing as possible and so are hoping to get some specialist equipment like filters, practical lights, atmospheric haze and more.
Contingency (£250)
Unforeseen circumstances can occur when filmmaking and so we need to keep some money aside in case things go wrong because unfortunately unlike Milo we can’t travel in time to fix any issues or foresee what might happen to us in the future.
