Congrats! This project has reached its minimum needed of £1,000 and is going for its target of £2,500!
An exciting gameshow where two teammates must work together to prevent being Locked In!

Our Project, In short:

We need you to help us raise £2,500 to create an original and exciting game show 'Locked In'; it's a new take on the escape room. Two teammates are locked in adjacent rooms, they must work together to solve the puzzles, collect the keys, and escape so that they can take on the final challenge to win the prize! But the twist is they cannot see each other, or the other room! Locked In will be an innovative, fresh format which we hope will prove successful; and to secure this we need you to donate!

Who are we?

We are a creative team of eight third-year undergraduate students at the University of York, challenged to make an innovative television show. We are hardworking, positive and committed to our project, and cannot wait to create Locked In.

our story

This is not just a project towards our university degree, it is also our chance to show industry professionals what we are capable of! We have learnt a considerable amount during our time at the University of York and we really want to challenge ourselves to a project bigger than we dared to dream!

With your help Locked In can be our chance to showcase our talents and create compelling, industry standard content that we are all proud of.

Your money will help us make Locked In the highest standard it can be! Being able to afford a multitude of props and items for set dressing will make our escape rooms look professional and attractive to the viewers, as well as more thrilling for the contestants.

When you donate to our project you are helping us create a new studio show that is exciting, gripping and a passion project for all involved!

Where will the money go?

The majority of the money we receive will go to building our three fantastical sets. We need to build a space ship, a haunted house and a circus, each with two rooms.

Once these sets are built we need your money to fill them with believable props along with our interactive puzzles, these might range from a magnet maze to giant ducks in a pool.

All of the money we receive will be helpful! We need a minimum of £2150 to make the sets and bring them to life; money received after that will go towards contestant and presenter travel, trophies and prizes. Any extra money will go towards the purchasing of more props to add to the fantastical element of the set and elevate production values.

A breakdown of our costs include:

  •  Set Construction: £1000
  •  Props and Scenery: £1150
  •  Presenters Travel: £100
  •  Contestant Travel: £120
  •  Trophies £50
  •  Prizes £80
  •  Please note that the figures above are calculated estimates.

Rewards

We have some awesome rewards to thank everyone who donates, whatever the amount you might give. These can range from a digital download of the three episodes to having your name hidden in the set!
